DicomBrowser can view and edit the metadata of multiple DICOM studies. Fields with common values are combined so can be edited collectively; fields with multiple values are edited individually. Individual fields can be deleted, cleared, replaced, or edited. Modified files are saved with different names or locations, or sent to a DICOM C-STORE provider such as a PACS.
A full scripting language (DicomEdit, shared with XNAT) allows most editing functions to be performed, using constants, variables, string operations, conditionals, functions, and UID generators that follow the study-series-instance hierarchical structure.
DicomBrowser is supplied as a Java application with dependencies, and with native installers for Windows, Mac, and Linux (RPM and Deb).
